The North Little Rock Public Library System is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant for its facilities. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and security of library facilities, performing service and repair maintenance on plumbing, heating, and electrical systems.
As a Maintenance Assistant, your major duties will include maintaining the orderly appearance of the library, performing routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems, and conducting finish maintenance tasks such as plastering, painting, basic carpentry, and light construction. Additionally, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining restrooms, collecting and emptying trash and recycling, changing light bulbs, and assisting with snow removal and outdoor maintenance.
Minor duties include performing other tasks as assigned within the scope of this classification. The role requires the ability to follow chemical supply instructions, use hand tools proficiently, and perform a variety of physical duties. Knowledge of carpentry, painting, plumbing, wiring, and HVAC systems is essential, along with the ability to lift up to 140 pounds, climb ladders, and operate motor vehicles and maintenance tools.
The position offers a competitive FTE salary starting at $31,200 ($15/hour). Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least four years of relevant job experience. Adult Community Educator - Full Time

North Little Rock Public Library System is currently in search of a dedicated Adult Community Educator to join its Adult Department. As an Adult Community Educator, you will play a vital role in engaging and assisting adult library users, possessing a strong understanding of library automation systems, and contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Adult Department.
