This event is open to all ages and is your chance to share ideas, provide feedback, and discuss how the library can better serve our community. Donate to the Free Prom Shop at Laman Library from January 1 through March 30

Friends, it's that time again! We're gearing up for our second annual Free Prom Shop, and that means replenishing our stock of suits, dresses, and alternative formal wear for local teens. If you'd like to be part of this year's incredible experience, we're accepting donations of gently used suits, dresses, and formal wear in modern styles and inclusive sizes. Donations can be dropped off at Laman Library from January 1 through March 30, 2025. 

Day of Health and Wellness at Laman Library on February 22

VITA Free Tax Prep at Laman Library | Central Arkansas Development Council | Tuesdays, Feb. 4 – April 8 | 9 AM – 1 PM

The Central Arkansas Development Council will provide free tax prep assistance to income-qualified individuals and familes at Laman Library on Tuesdays from February 4 through April 8. No appointment is required. Everyone will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Please come prepared to wait. You will need to fill out an intake form before you can be seen. These forms are available at the library, or you can click Learn More to print and fill one out before you arrive.

Rock, Paper, Run 5K Run/Walk on April 6, 2025

The North Little Rock Public Library System and the Central Arkansas Library System have partnered to create the Rock, Paper, Run 5K to celebrate National Library Week.

This family fun run/walk 5K will connect the two library systems, celebrating our shared love of books and community! The race will begin and end at the North Little Rock Public Library System’s Argenta Library (420 Main Street, North Little Rock). Participants will run down Broadway, through Riverfront Park, across the Clinton Bridge, and back to Argenta Library. 

International Night at your North Little Rock Public Library System is Thursday, February 27

Join us for International Night at NLRPLS on February 27 from 4–6:30 PM at all locations! As part of our monthly themed nights in 2025, we're celebrating global cultures with activities for all ages. Enjoy an International Shorts Fest at Argenta, an International Recipe Exchange at Laman, international-themed fun on Rover at Laman, a cultural Maker’s Challenge at the Hub, and more. There’s something for everyone—don’t miss it!
