Book-a-Librarian Is Expanding: New Skills, New Services, Two Locations

Book-a-Librarian launched at Laman Library in July 2025, connecting patrons with staff for one-on-one help tailored to their needs. In its first year, more than 60 appointments were booked, covering everything from sewing and computer basics to genealogy and research. Here's what we've been up to in 2026, including the launch of Book-a-Librarian at Argenta! Off to a Great Start For our stats fans out there, 15 Laman staff members have conducted a total of 60 appointments so far in 2026! Vote early in Pulaski County at William F. Laman Public Library and other locations from February 17–March 2. Check hours, locations, and voter registration information. Laman Library Early Voting will from from February 17 to February 28.
